Lees Ferry Launch

Great experience on the 7 mile overnight kayak trip. The boat drivers are very helpful. On the boat ride to the dam they will tell you facts about the canyon and give you suggestions on where to take breaks and camp. Once you are dropped off at the dam you are pretty much on your own. They drop off a new group of kayakers about every 45 minutes, when they pass by they wave and make sure your still doing good. The canyon was very impressive and there’s multiple trails you can pull off to and walk around on. As long as the weather is good and winds are low it’s easy paddling. We stayed at the 6 mile camp ground. Highly recommend doing trips through this company.

This is day 1 for my 18 nights 19 days Rafting trip on the Grand Canyon, what an amazing Trip. Note to self- lots of lotion/work gloves/water gloves - loading the boats and supplies really took a beating on the hands, a good pair of work and water gloves a must. A big- mouth sport water bottle for a women to pee into - not all the time is there a place to pee without someone seeing, a man does not have to pull his pants down so it is easy for him to turn his back to whip it out, ladies you will thank me get a bottle and if you use the She-pee with it that's even better, also I tell you practice peeing into a bottle before you go, it makes a world of difference, also set your tent up at home and practice peeing into your bottle while in the tent, because in the middle of the night you won't want to leave your tent to go hunting for the groover. Lady Wipes - no showers and the water is cold, however I did fill a bucket up with water and bring it into my tent, I also added boiling water to it and cleaned up in my tent. Bit wipes I used for my face and extra clean feeling. Ziplocks - for everything Nuun- Hydration tablets - I placed one in my water container every morning, some days I didn't get a chance to drink more than one bottle water so having this kept me well hydrated. I will post day two tomorrow.
